I know you're out there. I can feel you now. I know that you're afraid... you're afraid of us. You're afraid of change. I don't know the future. I didn't come here to tell you how this is going to end. I came here to tell you how it's going to begin. I'm going to hang up this phone, and then I'm going to show these people what you don't want them to see. I'm going to show them a world without you. A world without rules and controls, without borders or boundaries. A world where anything is possible. Where we go from there is a choice I leave to you..
Autumn let out a sigh and pushed open the back door to the arena, stepping into the chilly air after finishing her night here at the show. The rest of the show was still happening but she wanted no part in anymore of it. All she wanted to do was to go home and just rest, go into bear mode and forget the rest of the world was a thing for a while. No one had tried to stop her when she had changed back into her street clothes, feeling it was better to just let the Beautiful Psychopath to her own devices. After suffering that first loss post Frozen Over, she wasn’t really in that good of a mind frame to be talking to anyone. Even the trainer who examined her to make sure that her eye injury hadn’t been reaggravated in some fashion was careful not to make her mad.
“Ow, doc, careful where you stick that finger, that hurts!”
“Autumn relax, I’m just checking this eye injury of yours. You don’t want to have to go back to the hospital for more stitches do you? It’s still healing, and quite nicely I might say.”
Autumn’s eyes rolled in response, eliciting a hiss of pain as her injury begin to throb once more.
“Well good. Can I go home now or are you gonna look at me some more? I just want out...that’s all.”
The doc patted her on the shoulder, offering a small smile in response to her question.
“Just a couple more things and you can be on your merry way. Good job out there by the way, even though it turned out not in your favor.”
Autumn liked the guy, he had a sense of humor, but on this night she wasn’t really in the mood for any of his stuff. At all.
She arrived at her little rental and opened the door with a thud, throwing her stuff inside and following shortly after, slamming the door shut and quickly starting the car so she could get some heat in this vehicle. Sub zero temperatures were not her thing. Sitting there as the car slowly warmed up, turning the radio on to something that could calm her nerves at the moment, her phone decided to jingle and buzz, indicating she had an incoming text message. She let out a groan and grabbed her phone from its place in her pocket, holding it up to her face to see who in the world it was.
If it’s Phoenix, I swear I don’t have time for his shenanigans…
She blinked, seeing it was a message from the higher ups in CWF. It was the card for the next show.
Excitement slowly growing….
Clash of the Champions (Non Title) Match
The Cajun Sensation, another champion hailing from Hostility was to be her next person to face. A small sigh of relief went through her, after realizing that this was not to be a title match. Not that she wouldn’t have been opposed to fighting Tobias again, mind you. Just tonight...she needed to go bear mode and hibernate for a while. She’d go calling on the one and only Tobias at a later date. He’d understand.
“Am I mad that I didn’t make it out of the first round of the tournament? Sure I am. To be able to advance onto the next round and shove it in people’s faces once more, that would have been sweet. I’m not gonna complain and whine about why it didn’t happen and make excuses for myself, I’m just gonna accept it as it is and move on. It’s all I can do. I still have my pride, and my goals, and that’s all I need at this point.”
Autumn turns her head, glancing down the hallway, watching nothing at all as she continues to talk. She sighs, brushing a hand over her hair, still glancing in that direction.
“I know that people probably had high hopes for me to win that, but I’m sorry to disappoint. I gave it the best shot I had, and that’s all I can ask of myself. Now I have to look forward to this week and facing Tobias. I’ve got to focus myself. I’m facing another champion, another soul from Hostility, and I have to show him what’s been going on with me since we last met. I enjoy the man, or maybe I just enjoy the area where he’s from. I don’t know, but he’s one of those...fascinating creatures to watch. Talk to as well, so I hope he’s listening somewhere out there. I tend to make these speeches a bit longer and detailed, but time is ticking and I’m itching to get in the ring against someone such as him. I think he can understand.”
“Tobias, my Cajun friend. Good to see you again. I see we meet as champions instead of a simple man from somewhere down south and a woman wanting to remove herself from a certain someone’s shadow. I hope you appreciate the circumstances of this match as I do, because I want this to go as perfect as possible. We’re a couple of champions looking to put on the best match that we can. I’m just looking to make up for the mistake of last week. I’m not in the tourny anymore but I can still cause chaos outside of it, and you just happen to be the next unfortunate victim of mine.
Sit there and laugh, but I have a lot of eyes on me, and a lot of things to be doing so unfortunately I’m going to have to wipe the floor with you.
Don’t keep me waiting.”
